Pharmacological effects and mechanism of action

Hamamilis is astringent and antiseptic due to its tannin and flavonoids .It also contains parantoicinidine, which has anti-viral, antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory effects .In terms of the mechanism of anti-inflammatory action, parantoicanidins control the arachidonic-derived inflammatory mediators and inhibit the formation of a platelet activating factor .The disinfectant effect of tannins in Hamamilis prevents stomach infections and helps to improve the condition quickly .Tannin and other astringent vessels dilate the blood vessels and contract the blood in the hemorrhoids and reduce the site of damage and thereby reduce the bleeding .Compound Benzoin Tincture also has antispasmodic and antiseptic effect that acts as a complement to Hamamilis.
